Why would that pelican decide to eat a pigeon? That is definitely not a part of their normal diet.

I think that’s a normal reaction when you are being eaten alive.
That pelican was out there taking it to the limit. Every day, you’ve got to ask yourself: “am I a pelican, or am I a pelican’t?”.
